Hello to you.

And welcome to my world. If you're looking for exhaustive, thoroughly researched topics with tons and tons of photos and text— this is probably not the place for you. But it you're looking for inspiration to go do your own thing, then you found the right place.

Journal: A Blip in the Blog?

Journal: A Blip in the Blog?

You may not hear from me quite as much for a while... Some of you know, I've been taking my own sweet time in pursuit of a degree in Film Studies at Arizona State University (fear the fork!) and this Spring I'm taking two classes:  French 102 and Horror Films.  Seven credits crammed into seven weeks, the work load is intense, but... I love it!  I get brand new spiral notebooks and fresh highlighters.  Fancy pens with dependable and excessive ink flows, I even cut my fingernails really short so I type faster and more accurately.  Perhaps most importantly, I set-up an attractive, but altogether fake dummy work station for the cat, who loves when I am in school even more than I do.

So... off I go to conjugate the verb aller and relearn my prépositions and take copious notes during close readings of Cabin in the Woods (Goddard 2012) and The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (Wiene 1920).

With some posts in the hopper and my compulsion to overshare, I will follow the sage advice of William Wordsworth:

“Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart.”
Or the blogosphere in this case … :)
